Pragya Arts Theater Award

Pragya Arts Theatre Awards is an annual celebration dedicated to honouring, preserving, and promoting the rich theatre culture of Uttarakhand. Organized every year by Pragya Arts, these awards recognize artistic excellence, lifelong contributions, and emerging talent that continue to shape the theatre movement in the region.

This year, the PATA (Pragya Arts Theatre Awards) have been thoughtfully divided into six distinct segments, each reflecting a unique dimension of creativity and cultural expression.

The first segment, Pragya Arts Theatre Awards, honor’s outstanding theatre artists of Uttarakhand by recognizing achievements such as Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Writer, and Best Director, celebrating excellence in contemporary theatre practice.

The second segment, अभिनय हस्ताक्षर अवार्ड, is a tribute to legacy and dedication, where we honor  legendary theatre artists of Uttarakhand whose lifelong contributions have left an unforgettable mark on the world of theatre.

The third segment marks a new and meaningful beginning for Pragya Arts — a beauty and talent initiative titled “बाँद पहाड़न”. Through this platform, we aim to empower and promote women of Uttarakhand, giving them a stage to showcase their talent, confidence, and cultural identity.

The fourth segment was the Uttarakhand Fun Quiz with the Audience, where interactive questions related to Uttarakhand’s culture, history, and traditions were asked. Audience members who answered correctly were rewarded with exciting gifts, making the event engaging and inclusive.

The fifth segment, संवाद श्रृंखला (Samvad Shrinkhla), focused on dialogue and growth. This year, we invited producers from the Uttarakhand industry and engaged them in meaningful discussions about the current state of the industry and explored ways to strengthen and improve it.

The sixth segment, ‘उड़ान’ (Uddan), symbolized vision and future aspirations. In this segment, Pragya Arts proudly launched:

  • ✨ The poster of our upcoming theatre production ‘जिया रानी’

  • ✨ Our quarterly magazine

  • ✨ The 2026 calendar, based on the inspiring story of Maa Jiya Rani

Adding warmth and vibrancy to the event, Pragya Arts students confidently hosted the show and presented captivating dance performances, showcasing the next generation of artists nurtured by Pragya Arts.

Through the Pragya Arts Theatre Awards, we continue our journey to celebrate art, honor legacy, encourage dialogue, and create platforms that inspire Uttarakhand’s cultural future.
